Chris Rogers anchors the KCEN weekend news shows and reports during the week.

Chris is beyond excited to join the Channel 6 news team. After starting his television career in Abilene, Texas, Chris has come to embrace the Lone Star State as his home. In his ten months in Abilene, he covered a wide array of breaking news stories, from the murder of an Abilene police officer, to wildfires and more.

His feature work includes investigative stories that have uncovered the overwhelming caseloads of public defenders in Taylor County, as well as an inside look at the opiate epidemic in Texas, which was widely praised by the Drug Enforcement Administration.

A native of Syracuse, New York, Chris went on to earn his undergraduate and graduate degrees in broadcasting and communications at Sacred Heart University in Connecticut, where he starred on the Pioneer's football team, holding ten school and conference records, and becoming an All-American in the process. The football culture in Texas has made him feel right at home.

Chris is thrilled to be in Central Texas and is looking forward to becoming part of the community and sharing their stories!
