Bellmead police have captured a suspect investigators believe was responsible for a recent increase in vehicle burglaries.
On Tuesday, police obtained four warrants for the arrest of Alfredo Dylan Perez, 21, of Bellmead.
Bellmead Police Lt. Kory Martin said Perez was linked to multiple burglaries and had used stolen credit cards at local businesses.
"Those stolen credit cards were also linked to the burglaries," Martin said.
Perez was arrested in the 500 block of Maxfield Street. Shortly afterward, stolen property was recovered and returned to one of the victims, along with some of that victim's personal identification.
Perez was transported to the McLennan County Jail.
"The Bellmead Police Department wants to thank our community for all of the assistance you have provided and your patience, which allowed us to help bring justice to some of the victims affected by the recent strings of burglary offenses," Martin added.
